B2B Innovative Mobile App Branding Case Study

Project background: Ringermagics is a product by VriV tech private limited, a technology startup with its operation base in Mumbai, India. The company has entered the mobile Instant Messaging space with its unique communication app Ringermagics. The app which uses a patented technology is the first-of-its-kind solution in the Instant Messaging category of apps. The owners of the company, Mr. Vijayprakash Gupta Chhedilal, Mr. Vianjoy Dsouza Jaki and, Mr. Rajesh Kishanrao Chavhan approached Arabella Design for the branding of their upcoming mobile application. Designed to enhance the Ringer-Time Experience, the mobile application solves the most basic ringing time problem, i.e., one cannot communicate the purpose of the call before the call is picked up. The app allows the users to communicate the purpose of the call and send multimedia messages before the call gets answered and while the call is ringing. The technology is ready for collaborations with mobile phone manufacturers and B2B platforms like Zomato/Swiggy/Uber etc., platforms that require a phone call with the delivery partners. Ringermagics is aimed at transforming and revolutionizing the calling experience globally.

Brand Identity Design

The logo is designed to depict our brand offering, i.e. ‘Ringer time magic’

The message box stuck to the phone icon denotes communication during ringer time. The icon is cool, positive, and miraculous. The graphic connects three things: ‘call’ + ‘communication during the ringer time’ + ‘magical experience’. The icon is simple, unique, and distinct. It is easily visible as a menu icon. The golden star depicts that there is something magical/innovative about the app.

Logo Exclusion Zone

The exclusion zone is the designed clear space that ensures that the logo has some breathing space around it. It is to ensure that the logo is always visually distinct. Since our logo icon is simple & confined, the logo doesn’t need much of a clearance/exclusion zone. The zone would be equal to the height of the ‘Phone icon’ in the logo.

Brand Color Palette

Brand colors are kept light and sophisticated and in line with the product range and overall brand personality. White and Black are universally allowed.

Dark Blue (#01037c) - Dark blue is often used to represent elegance, authority, and intelligence. Since we are an innovative company, blue will be one of our primary colors.

Bright Sky Blue (#036ce2) - It is the color of the ocean and the sky; it often symbolizes serenity, stability, inspiration, wisdom, or health. It can be a calming color and symbolize reliability. To be used in combination with dark blue to create a sense of depth.

Light Grey (#e3e3e3) - Grey is a cool, neutral, and balanced color. The color grey is an emotionless, moody color that is typically associated aswith formal, conservative, and sophisticated.

Golden Yellow (#f9d366) - The color gold is a cousin to the color yellow and the color brown, and is also associated with illumination, love, compassion, courage, passion, magic, and wisdom.

Brand Typography Family

We chose the following font family to reflect the mobile app brand’s personality in all the brand communications. Typography is the major element in a design that speaks to the customers.

The advertisement is designed to be used on google display ads for the company’s launch campaign. The icon is designed to attract new users on App Store & Google Play Store.

These banners are designed to be used on the website and also as launch hoardings and posters for offline and inside company office branding. The strategy is to help people easily understand the need we are catering to and how it will positively impact their lives.

Partner Mobile App UX & UI Design

UI/UX is a very crucial aspect of the mobile application. To make the app successful, we developed an engaging user interface and user experience. By understanding the need of the target audience and their market preference, we made the app highly interactive. Partner App’s brand colors were used for better integration, in this case, red for integration with Zomato.
